Congratulations

Hello and congratulations on your engagement! Thank you for contacting me - my name is Kristina Visser and I would love the opportunity to be your Marriage Celebrant. I take my role as Celebrant seriously and professionally but also mixed with a lot of fun.

The thing I love most about being a Marriage Celebrant is the beautiful and unique venues my couples wish to marry in and together with your individual choices, I have the privilege of blending in with you to create one of your most important occasions - your wedding day.

Perhaps as a mature woman comes wisdom afterall! My commitment has always been to produce intimate services gleaned from not only other cultures but from a wide variety of rituals and ceremonies which I have had the joy of doing - such as Weddings, Renewal of Vows, Names Giving and Funerals or Memorial Services which all form the wondrous tapestry of life.

Since each wedding service is so different in nature, despite the fact that some of my couples and their families think that Celebrants use templates!! I write all my services individually and are therefore called bestoke ceremonies.

It was once I was appointed by the Attorney General’s Department that I realized and understood that writing individual ceremonies, talking intimately with couples and their families, researching, and reading would later became one of my most cherished career changes I have had the privilege of falling into.

It was at my very first wedding (a surprise one, as well as their baby’s naming ceremony!) that I felt the enormity of my role and the responsibility of getting it right. Claire and Kelvin never did find out that they were my first couple to be married by me ….. it was perfect!

So life as a CMC has been an on-going project filled with musings and possibilities requiring compassion, tact and understanding. I love researching and exploring the variety – often interfaith - and significance of celebrations. This is combined with natural writing skills and a background (albeit brief) in journalistic studies and so I am keen to pass on the gifts of this learning.

There is a lot to discuss so if you have a rapport with me I would love the opportunity to meet up with you.... Congratulations again...

Yours very sincerely - Kristina Visser
